- Candy Corns
- Crushed Pretzels
- Crushed Halloween Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Halloween Sprinkles
Note: Ingredient portions are up to you and your desired size of candy bar.
Cooking (cooking will take about 10 minutes)
Step 1: Line a baking sheet and cover it with a parchment paper. Then spread out some of candy corns, crushed pretzels, crushed Halloween chocolate chip cookies onto the baking sheet. Mix all the sweet a little bit so you can have a taste of all ingredients in one bite of candy bar.
Step 2: Next step is melting chocolate wafers. There are two way of melting chocolate wafers. First, you can melt chocolate using microwave. Put chocolate wafers into a bowl and melt them in microwave with low heat. Stop every 30 seconds to stir the chocolate and put the bowl back to the microwave. Repeat the process until the wafers are completely melted. Be careful not to burn your chocolate.
The second method is double boiling chocolate. This method is usually used by chief and it takes extra care than the first method. Pour about 1 inch depth of water into a pot. Bring them to boil over medium heat. Place a heatproof bowl or glass bowl onto pot’s mouth and don’t let the bottom of the bowl touch the water. Put your chocolate wafers into the heatproof bowl; constantly stir until the chocolate wafers are almost done. Remove the chocolate and let the remaining heat melt the wafers. Don’t completely melt chocolate on the pot because your wafers may be overcooked after.
When chocolate wafers are totally melted, pour the liquid on top of the candy. Use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate in order to make sure everything is nicely covered.
Step 3: After spreading melted chocolate, immediately make another candy layer on the chocolate with crushed pretzels, cookies, candy corn and Halloween sprinkles. You can have as many layers as you want but make sure that the candy bar is not too thick which makes it hard to eat.
Step 4: Put the baking sheet in the fridge to set. It will take about 1 hour or more depending your candy bar’s thickness. When the candy bar is firm, remove the parchment paper and break into pieces and serve!
With few simple steps and easy-to-find ingredients, you now have a delicious candy bar that combines all the taste of your favorite sweets. Wrap them with colorful paper and you are ready for some treat-or-trick!
